This article is explaining how the federal government is allowing the use of medical marijuana in 16 states and is allowing the distribution of it by more than 1,000 stores. The purpose of this article is probably to show how the government is okay with the use of medical marijuana in the U.S. but that there are those that are trying to stop it.
The main argument made by this article is that, yes marijuana is okay but only when used for medical purposes, also if you use marijuana you are not allowed to own a firearm.
